Greetings from the Principal of Government College Goriwala!
This rural College has started functioning from the academic session 2020-21 in pursuit of the Haryana Government’s policy to make Higher Education accessible to students residing in remote areas.
Learning is a virtue and an asset. Not only does it expand our modes of perception and makes us independent and unshackled; but also makes us capable of empathy and sympathy.
Higher Education does not simply mean an arithmetic progression from School Education to an Undergraduate programme; rather it is tantamount to a qualitative leap into matured thinking, responsible conduct and taking charge of one’s career and life ahead. It is a leap not in a stepping stone but onto a path of a lifelong learning process. In the three-year time that you will spend here, our endeavour shall be to usher you to this path. So look forward to an exciting, fulfilling and fulfilled stay at this College.
The primary focus of the College is on the holistic education of students by emphasizing not just academic excellence but also physical, social, ecological values and moral development. We will strive hard to realize the object of education as envisaged by Swami Vivekanand:
